Angel Light for FIDs and Airports

Angel Light displays present a highly flexible and cost effective solution for airport flight information display (FIDs) plus a host of other value added airport applications that could well cover the costs of the deployment and even produce additional revenue.

Delivering Flexible Applications

Angel Light is designed to be able to group displays into multiple combinations of zones which is perfect for an airport environment, allowing flight information, advertising and security messages to be targeted to multiple groups and sub-groups.

Flight data can be easily split into arrivals, departures and both, plus subdivided by check-in desk, by departure gate or any other combination. FIDs data can be displayed full or part screen with colours, icons, data order and change effects all easily customisable to provide clear, eye-catching and informative displays.

Angel Light provides a multi-media environment for advertising using stills, movies and sound in almost any digital format plus a myriad of effects such as multiple windows and ticker tapes. There are exciting opportunities for story board advertising - tracking a passenger's progress through check-in, departures and even back through arrivals for example. Retail, food and beverage promotions can be precisely targeted and updated in real time adding real value to an airport's concession owners.

With ever-changing regulations regarding baggage and check-in procedures, clear and flexible signage at airports is key for passengers. Acting in conjunction with signage in prescribed formats, Angel Light's multi-media formats can explain, demonstrate and re-inforce complex regulations.

Entertainment/info-tainment can be fed from multiple external sources - news and weather locally and at departure destinations; kids channels; webpages such as stocks and shares for business passengers. Angel Light scheduling can target times of day and days of week easily tailoring what is shown to footfall and passenger profiles.

Delivering Simple Management

Angel Light user interfaces are designed to be very simple to use, allowing customers to get real value from the flexibility of the software. Angel Light can be managed remotely, managed onsite or a combination of both. This puts the customer in control of applications they want local staff to manage such as check-in and departure gate information and allows the outsourcing of other functions such as the management of advertising to third parties.

Angel Light has developed standard airport application templates or can build new ones to meet your needs. Interfaces can be delivered allowing any combination of full or partitioned access to the Angel Light applications. Data can be pre-loaded, customisable by the operator, sourced from the customer LAN, sourced externally or any combination that suits the way the customer wants to work.

Audit trails and management reports are standardly available for all deployed applications. Again, this can be something the customer chooses to manage themselves or can choose to outsource.

Delivering Quality Displays

Underpinning the deployment of high value applications needs to be robust, reliable, high quality hardware. Angel Light is part of the AD Series portfolio of purpose-built, solid state displays, designed for use in public spaces. All displays are fully integrated, self-contained units requiring no peripherals other than power and IP connection. Angel Light displays range from a counter-top 15" to an imposing 42" display, and is available with Bright and High Bright screen options.

More than 40 large screen Angel Light displays can be seen at Norwich Airport in the UK delivering FIDs multi-media advertising and airport information ticker tapes. Angel Light is also providing all Check-in and Departures screens throughout the airport.
