System Interface Port IAD
The SIP product is available in 7”, 10”, 15”, 20”, 32” and 42” framed displays and 15” and 17” open frame displays. Each IAD with SIP comes with a dual 12-way 1.2 metre connector cable and a basic button plate which can be used to input up to 10 switched inputs. (Note: 20 switched inputs will be supported by IAD products shortly and are available now for volume orders.)
For customers who want to deploy inputs other than physical buttons or to locate inputs more widely dispersed than the standard button plate allows, then the cable can be cut and wire loomed as appropriate. Alternatively a wiring loom can be provided at an additional cost.
The switched input connects the active input to ground (the chassis) so has no risk of power shorting and is very simple to work with on a bespoke wiring basis. The operation of the switch is similar to that of a touch zone in the touch version and will cause a change in content or function to occur.
The exact functional operation of each switch used will depend on the template that is running on the display.
